This Light Dome SE from Aputure is a 16-sided modifier with a 35.5″ diameter. It has a soft wraparound quality that is a hallmark of this shape, especially when used close to the subject. It also has a few surprises that offer you several contrast options. The 1.5 and 2.5-stop front diffusion fabrics offer ways to manipulate the light. Also a removable 1.5-stop internal baffle softens the initial point source of light and allows it to fill the entire softbox more evenly. The 45° fabric grid provides directional control to enable selective lighting.
