POCO F5 Detailed Description:
Design
The F5 has the same build as the POCO F4 and the POCO F3 but comes in a slightly different shape and with a redesigned camera island. Like many modern smartphones, the phone comes with flat glass panels and a flat frame. Similar to the Poco F4, the front glass component protecting the screen is a Gorilla Glass 5. Except for the 2.5D edge finish, it is flat.
Display
The front is home to the 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with one of the smallest perforations we’ve seen to date. It’s an E4 AMOLED screen with extended 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh, 360Hz touch response, and it supports HDR10+. New to this display is the Dolby Vision support, which should offer an even more immersive HDR streaming experience. We hav no issues with the screen bezels because they are very thin.
Camera
The camera app uses the standard MIUI interface. Simple mode switching can be performed with sideswipes (on the black bezel, not the viewfinder itself), and you may tap the visible modes to access them immediately. Only the toggle next to the shutter release can be used to switch between the front and rear cameras; up and down swipes do not work in this regard. You can add, remove, and rearrange modes in the main Rolodex by going to the More tab and navigating to the edit button, and you can access that from the settings menu as well. The Camera App of the F5 is more reliable compared to its competition.
Performance
The Phone performs well in all aspects, including the camera, battery, software, and display. The F5, just like the Poc F4 GT, boots Android 12 with the latest MIUI 13 for Poco. As usual in the MIUI camp, the custom overlay’s version matters more than the underlying OS, but there are still a few new things. Compared to the new Redmi Note 12, the F5 performs exceptionally and is much more recommendable.
Battery Life
A single charge of the phone’s 5,000mAh battery will carry it through a day of moderate use. A fast charger is included with the phone.
