Design

The Galaxy M10s has a plastic body and frame. Like most budget phones, it has quite thick bezels. Samsung has gone with a V-shaped notch design to house a selfie camera. Slightly above that sits an earpiece. A mono speaker is placed at the bottom. Moving around the back, you get a recessed fingerprint sensor. The camera assembly, on the other hand, is protruding.

Display

The phone sports a 6.4-inch display with HD+ resolution. It is a PLS (Plane-to-Line Switching) panel developed by Samsung known for its wide-viewing angles much like the IPS (In Place Switching) display technology. Samsung hasn’t mentioned if the display has any scratch protection.

Performance

The Galaxy M10s is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7885 chipset. The 14 nm chip comprises of two Cortex A73 cores peaking at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. It is coupled with Mali G71 MP2 GPU for gaming. It should be enough for casual gaming. The handset has 3gb RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. On the software front, the phone ships with Android 9 Pie with a watered-down version of Samsung’s One UI on top. The Korean company has done a good job revamping its Android customization.

Cameras

Much like its predecessor, the Galaxy M10s comes with a 13 MP + 5 MP Back Camera. The primary lens is accompanied by a wide-angle sensor. The budget device offers low-light enhancements and Live Focus feature for portrait shots. On the front of the device sits an 8 MP snapper for selfies. It is a step up from the Galaxy M10’s 5 MP module.

Battery And Connectivity

Samsung has fitted the phone with a 4,000 mAh battery. Paired with a power-efficient Exynos 7885 chip, the battery can easily for a day on a single charge. The Galaxy M10s is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE handset. It covers connectivity essentials such as Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS (network assisted), and micro-USB port.
